PORTABLE STORAGE CONTAINERS FOR ILLINOIS FLOOD RELIEF

GLEN ELLYN, Ill., September 29, 2008 – The aftermath of Hurricane Ike affected numerous communities across the United States, including Bloomingdale, Ill., and surrounding areas. As part of the “SAM Lends a Hand” initiative, Glen Ellyn Moving & Storage, a local SAM – Store and Move dealer, has donated a SAM container to the Village of Bloomingdale to securely store supplies, files and furniture while the office is restored.

“As soon as the towns in our area were in danger of flooding, we knew that we had to step in and help in any way possible,” said Larry Smith, owner of Glen Ellyn Moving & Storage. “We’re proud to be able to provide our services to help the community.”

“We appreciate the way Glen Ellyn Moving & Storage responded to our needs during the flooding this week,” said Jim Monkemeyer, assistant director of services for the Village of Bloomingdale. “It’s challenging to find secure storage when we have water seeping into our buildings. The convenience of these containers allows us to safely store all of our belongings that may have otherwise been ruined.”

In addition to the donation, Glen Ellyn Moving & Storage has reduced its rates on the SAM containers, including free delivery, to residents in Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Bartlett and surrounding areas.
